I'm Lucio. I play the keyboards in Brainjuice and I also put my voice in the recited parts.
2. The name “BRAINJUICE”...why?
Well, in our city there is a poor musical scene and the friends that we have joined to carry out this project we had different tastes and musical styles. Mixing all this emerge this idea that we like and join us all and we think it's original enough.
3. Who composes? How that is held between you?
Oliver (bass and voice), Luisma (keyboard and voice) and me are who write the lyrics. The music is created among all; principally Oliver and Rubén bring their ideas, we put them together and then we work them and go shaping them among everyone to creating a song that likes to each of us.
4. What music style do you prefer personally and what are your influences?
Personally we like to define us as experimental rock with industrial brushstrokes. Our influences include a very wide field of styles, from the rock / metal in all his angles to the Ambient music, EBM and some sort of electronic music. The bands we more emphasize are NIN, Tool, Ministry, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Paradise Lost, Rammstein, Stabbing Westward, Filter, Muse and classics as The Cure, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Depeche Mode and a length etc...
5. What's your opinion about the actual rock-metal scene at your place?
If you refer to our city I already comment you something about it in the question 2, and talking about our country... well, there are many bands of all the styles and many with a great quality, but the majority of them does not find an international way out because in Spain the musical culture that prevails is unfortunately very different from the rock one. Only Internet and the enormous effort of many groups does that some of them could get something more than to give small concerts in the peninsula.
6. Generally, which is the reaction of the public at the time of your concerts?
It's in the habit of being very good. Those who know us before because they have listened to us by the network or in the CD they are surprised because of the forceful and showy our live is, and those who don't know us usually receives our show in very well way. Concerts are where more we demonstrate what we are capable of doing and also where more followers we get.
7. What is your best live memory? And why?
I think everyone of us agree that it was in the 2nd edition of the FMF festival that we organized in our city. The sound system and lights were very good and the stage was very big. The pavilion where the concert was placed was almost full of people and we enjoyed it enormously. Certainly we need a big stage to do our best and the public corroborated it.
8. What would be the festival of your dreams? (With you playing in it of course!!!)
Dreaming doesn't cost anything The Ozzfest or a great festival in Germany or Belgium ;) it would be wonderful. Sharing the stage with any of the groups that have been in these festivals could be absolutely enough but, the bands that I have mentioned in our influences are the most wished ones.
9. What do you expect from the future?
We are going to continue working very hard in this project that make us happy and trying that people listen to us in Spain as well as anywhere in the world, most of all via Internet, because nowadays is the best way to get it.
10. What is your motto in live?
If you are talking about our shows we emphasize the power, the energy and the force of our live and that manage to transmit to the public. Our songs sound very perfect and we are very meticulous in our live sound.
If you are referring to our way of living our life we always say “do what you want to do, not what the others expect you to do” or “create what you like not what the others whant to listen”.
11. Is there something you'd like to say to the audience?
First of all I want to say thank you very much because of being interested in us, it's an honor that people so far away pay attention what we do, value it and appreciate it. And to all the people who simply waste his/her time listening and in this way can be able to judge us. A very strong greeting to all and thanks again.
